TY Europe regards the safety and well being of our students as the most important aspect of our work and because of this our application process is very intensive in the following ways;

The application form is very detailed, we require considerable information about both families in order to made the best possible match between the two students and their families.

All family references are checked.

The School Reference is required and the student’s last three school reports are  included with the application form.

A home visit is made during the application process at which time all family members who normally live at home are interviewed.

A student interview is required for all students who wish to take part in a TY Europe Exchange.

Each family must cover the student’s fully comprehensive travel/accident insurance for their teenager while away from home and public liability insurance cover.  All students require a European Health Card.

TY Europe has full Professional Indemnity Insurance.

TY Europe representatives are contactable by telephone at all times before, during and after an exchange.

Parents of students who have previously been on an exchange can be contacted for feed back – contact details available on request.
